Pangelinan Presents on Workplace Harassment

CJP's Michael A. Pangelinan and Jeffrey Sablan, Fair Employment Practice Officer and FEPA Administrator from the Guam Department of Labor made a presentation to the Guam chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on February 7, 2024 entitled "Preventing Workplace Harassment". Mr. Pangelinan is the VP of Legislative Affairs for the SHRM Guam Chapter.

According to the SHRM website: Mr. Pangelinan and Mr. Sablan’s presentation aimed to help companies elevate their “organization’s commitment to fostering a workplace where every individual is treated with respect and dignity.” SHRM Guam recognizes “the importance of equal employment opportunities and the prevention of unlawful discriminatory practices, especially harassment.” 

Mr. Pangelinan and Mr. Sabian discussed the following topics:

  • Strategies for Prevention – practical strategies to prevent and address harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
  • Real-World Insights – exploring actual investigations undertaken, learning from past experiences to gain practical insights into the challenges faced and solutions implemented.
