CFJ's Gutierrez Provides Highlights of National Employment Law Conference

(SHRM Press Release) — The Society for Human Resource Management-NMI chapter is pleased to have attorney Dana A. Gutierrez, the SHRM Guam chapter’s vice president of legislative affairs, speak at the July 27 local SHRM membership meeting regarding highlights from the 2017 SHRM Employment Law & Legislative Conference she attended recently in Washington, D.C.  

Gutierrez is counsel at Calvo Fisher & Jacob LLP where she practices primarily in the areas of labor and employment law, business planning, corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Her practice includes counseling and defending employers in all aspects of employment law.

Gutierrez currently serves as the vice president for legislative affairs for the SHRM Guam chapter and as member-at-large on the Guam Bar Association Board of Governors.

During our luncheon, she will discuss the highlights of recent U.S. Supreme Court cases and provide legislative, compliance and regulatory updates which impact our employer community.

This lunch meeting will be held at the Pacific Islands Club-Charley’s Cabaret on Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The presentation is open to the public and will be an invaluable opportunity for employers, managers, and HR professionals and staff to receive an update on employment law issues.
