CFJ's Gutierrez Provides Employment Law Perspectives at Guam HR Conference

CFJ’s Dana Gutierrez was a featured speaker at the annual conference of the Guam chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) at the Lotte Hotel Guam on October 7, 2016.

An article in Pacific Daily News, Conference addresses HR issues, highlighted Dana’s role:

“Featured speaker Dana Gutierrez, attorney with Calvo Fisher & Jacob LLP, agreed that one of the biggest challenges Guam businesses face is “reconciling local laws with federal laws.” At the conference Gutierrez spoke about labor law updates on Guam, including minimum wage increases, “Ban the Box” legislation, and Public Law 33-170, which provides leave for child school-related purposes. Her presentation was one of seven related to the conference theme ‘Leadership and Human Resources: The Path to Success.’”
