Mr. Ghatrehee is an associate in Calvo Fisher & Jacob’s Dallas, Texas office.  His practice focuses on IRS tax controversy matters, including federal and state taxpayer examinations, appeals, civil and criminal tax litigation, tax compliance matters, including multinational filing requirements such as FBAR, and other contested tax matters in state and federal courts.

Mr. Ghatrehee has extensive experience in representing clients in connection with IRS collection matters, including liens and levies.  In resolving collection matters, he negotiates installment agreements and offers in compromise, and, where appropriate, advises as to the dischargeability of taxes in bankruptcy.

In addition, Mr. Ghatrehee’s practice includes estate planning (from preparation of wills, powers of attorney, living wills and guardianship designations to preparation of trust documents) and probate (from probating of a will to representation of beneficiaries and/or fiduciaries throughout the estate administration process.)

 Mr. Ghatrehee received his Bachelor of Science degree from University of Texas at Dallas, summa cum laude, in 2004 and his Juris Doctor degree from SMU Dedman School of Law, cum laude, in 2009.  Prior to graduating, Mr. Ghatrehee served as Chief Justice of the SMU Federal Taxpayers Clinic in 2009 and as a student attorney for the Clinic in 2008.  Before joining Calvo Fisher & Jacob, Mr. Ghatrehee was an associate at Kroney Morse Lan, P.C.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.  In addition, Mr. Ghatrehee is a member of the American Bar Association – Taxation Section and the Dallas Bar Association – Tax Section and Probate, Trusts and Estates Section.
